Charge at night

Schedule your car to start charging after you go to bed NV Energy offers special rates for charging during off-peak hours. But you have to apply! Go to nvnergy.com and search: “time of use*

Only charge to 80%

You can charge to 100% if needed for a trip. But on a daily basis, limit charging to 80%. This will prolong the life of your car’s battery pack.

Throttle down the power

Your new high power EV charger is awesome for juicing up your car quickly! But high power also generates heat, which over time can shorten the life of your electrical panel, EV charger, and components of the car itself. If possible, we recommend adjusting the settings on your car so that it charges more slowly throughout the night
