Level 2 Charging Guide
Which type of charger should you use?
Plug-In vs. Hardwired
NEMA 14-50 outlet is often the most economical choice. Many EVs come with a NEMA 14-50 adapter or they can be purchased at relatively low cost. They can provide a maximum of 9.6 kw or 20-30 miles of range per hour of charging. (Note that many NEMA 14-50 adapters limit max power to 7.6 kw)
Installation
Because every home is different we’re happy to visit you and provide a free evaluation along with a quote. In many cases we can do same-day installation. To make your decision easier we charge the same price for installation of a NEMA 14-50 outlet or a hardwired wall connector. We can supply a Tesla Wall Connector (Tesla or J-1772) for additional cost, or you can supply an EV charger of your choice.
Congratulations on your new EV! We’re excited to help you experience the freedom of waking up every day with a “full tank”. Give us a call or visit our website to schedule a free consultation today!
